for the past few years of today, i should be sleeping and having to attend school in the morning. but this year, it's a little different. stayed overnight last last night and returned ytd morning. slept all the way to the evening and watched The Illusionist.

the movie isn't as great as The Prestige. but the plot moved me a little. the lead actor (actor of the hulk) brought his beloved to her paradise she wished for. throughout the movie, i understood the story otherwise, until the very end came an unexpected twist. although it is another sort-of happy ending story, i like it still. cos the way it went happy-ending was ingenious.

if i hadn't remember wrongly, this was what happened.


last year, i mean last last last year (2006) during september exam break, we had to prepare for the end of year examination for secondary 2. so this girl HuiShan that i knew ask me to go revise together. knowing that she is the top student in school i didnt decline and met her at hougang mall's Gelare Cafe.

when i arrived, i saw her with this skinny girl, Dorothy, with spectacles wearing a light blue sleeveless top with long pants. before starting with serious work, they told me that Dorothy dropped her bunch of keys into the trash can accidentally when she was disposing something. i went wtf?. in the end, we retrieved the keys and did some serious work. after that we went to NTUC to look for some snacks for a birthday party. then one of us, i forgot who, said "this packaging is ingenious." after that i said " huh? how come this thing stupid?" and they all laughed. i laugh as well after i understood the meaning of the word.

me and dorothy did get together for awhile after the next 2 weeks on the 1st of October. which was some where near the end of year examination. her result's had always been better then mine by a lot. some where along that period of time, a group of my friends we joined the a competition and we emerged as the top group and were to go KL as some representative sort of stuff. had a lot of fun while at KL. got to know a group of people. esp Carmen, SY and Afik.

when the free time for shopping at KL started, me and benjamin went hunting for gift for our girlfriend. ben's gf is one big headache. not to mention mine, especially dorothy's birthday was round the corner.

her birthday was near the start of December. so i got her a heart-shaped pendant and my oven gave her a choco cake. she was so happy that night. seeing that made me happy too.

soon after that was my birthday. that night we blew our top over some trivial matter and i didnt party out that day. our mediator, her best friend, told me that she folded hundred paper cranes with words written in it but she threw it away or hid it. we eventually broke up on christmas night.

since then we didnt talk to each other. though i tried to apologize to her for a few times but didnt really forgive me. petty woman.

then i did something i feel real stupid in 2008. my graduation/prom night. because it's her birthday again soon, i got her a gift. a necklace with hearts of red and crystal.



alright, that's all memory. there are other things i seek and purpose i commit to in 2009.
